"The property was really good. Clean, tidy and well presented. My only issue was that the radiators were not as warm despite being on the highest setting. The bedroom especially was very cold. Another negative is upto now I have not received my deposit back. Surely you should have a system that works for returning deposits back. People are so busy spmetimes one will forget to check that the deposit has been returned back"

There is a village shop nearby and the location is ideal for visiting many places nearby. Our only slight disappointment was the outside area was very small. It's situated approx 7 mins away from town in one direction, so you can leave the car on the drive, (a major plus) and 10 mins walk away from the woods in the other: ideal for an early morning, or any time dog walk! There's a hose in the garden for dirty boots and dogs and the back gate locks for security. Heating was easy to adjust and the fire worked beautifully. "This is a basic hotel. It's clean, which is always appreciated, but if you want your room cleaned during your stay, there's an upcharge. The rooms are extremely tight. I booked two twins so that I would have some place to open my luggage. There are no closets and there isn't a safe. Coffee/tea are available for a fee. The bed was comfortable. The staff was present, but not proactive. This is the best of no-frills. All of that being said, it's a great location with easy access to cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. It's about a 15-20 minute ride into Oxford Center and the bus stop is just a short 3 minute walk away. With frequent buses and a daily bus pass, it's a much more affordable option than staying in Oxford proper."
