"Sehr idyllischund ruhig gelegenen, geräumige Zimmer. Ein Spielzimmer für Kinder ist vorhanden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war, vermutlich aufgrund der geringen Auslastung während der Nebensaison, sehr spartanisch. Nur Rüheei, kein Speck dazu. Keine Croissants/ Hörnchen oder ähnliches, leider nur Aufbackbrötchen in 2 Varianten. Auch kein Obstsalat. Wurst und Käse nur in Scheiben und langweiliger Standard. Hier ist deutlich Luft nach oben. Mit einem besseren Frühstück wäre es eine 5 Sterne Bewertung. "

"The hotel was empty and for the price very nice. The people having it was so friendly, and we had the best pommes of our trip. They were amazing. Very nice spot to have as start point for the very nice area. Do take the old train from Drei Annan hoche - we loved it"

"Die Lage ist ruhig, das angrenzende Freibad sehr schön und preiswert. Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und stets bemüht. Das Frühstück abwechslungsreich. Auch das Angebot zum Abendessen ist abwechslungsreich und nicht zu teuer. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt einmal wieder."

"Quick in check. Be aware after 18 hrs, reception closed. Bar closed early. Hotel nice, good hotel if you have children. Not possible to sit on the terrasse in the evening. Best restaurant in town, pass the cabel track, up the Hill, right hand, Ratsstube.. it was absolutely top class"

"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."
