"Catherine was a wonderful host. Very welcoming and friendly.We are an extended family group (children from 11-17) and so the accommodation was ideal with lots of bedrooms. The covered eating area outside was great for social games and eating. The area indoor areas stayed cool on the hot days.We all enjoyed the pool area for cooling off and Catherine and her daughter had set up a volleyball net which we thoroughly enjoyed using. Lots of loungers and seating around the pool too.In DOMPIERRE sure Bresbe we were able to shop for provisions at the supermarket.The local area is quiet but close by there is a theme park and zoo (le Pal) which is well worth a visit for the animals and the rides. Moulins (30 mins away) has a riverside area with table tennis, boules, volleyball and a supervised small swimming area. We also booked our canoe trip here which involved the company driving us up river and we then paddled back to base over a few hours. You can also hire bikes from here at the tourist information.Thank you for a wonderful week Catherine."

"Our welcome was impeccable with excellent recommendations. Such a lovely, attentive host. Room clean, comfortable & cool, thanks to A/C. Pool area great & quiet. Parking felt very safe & good restaurant (La Flambée) cheap petrol almost opposite. All on one level for less mobile guests. Highly recommend."

"As I've often found, with French ladies-of-a-certain-age, they appear not to care about whether you feel welcome or not. I don't know if this is just me, because of my British accent, or to tourists in general. The room was very good. It was a blessing to get a night-cap at the bar after returning at night. But here's my REAL BEEF! This is an AC hotel. Wonderfully cool (though not as cool as in the US, I respect that, as energy costs are so high in Europe) when we arrived in our room. Still cool when we went to bed. Half way through the night I awoke to sheets sodden with my sweat because the AC had gone off at some unspecified time. Monsiuer ou Madame Logis Hotels, Either your hotel is air conditioned or its not. Don't cheapskate us!"

"This is a lovely hotel. Unfortunately, we arrived during a heat wave and the air conditioning was not working. However, the owner had advised us in advance about the situation and couldn't have been more helpful in aiding a comfortable night's sleep by providing us with two fans. They worked very well and we had a good night's rest. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We had tea and coffee making facilities in our room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again."

"Globalement l’auberge est très bien, la piscine est grande , la terrasse agréable. Il manque toutefois de parasol ou de grillage ombragé autour de la piscine ou ailleurs sur le devant de l’hôtel alors que seulement des chaises en plastique blanc sont disposées cà et là."

"Friendly staff, good safe parking, close to city and restaurants - cheap fuel nearby. Restaurant offered a fair selection but we arrived too late to eat. Air conditioned rooms really good in the heatwave."

"The only issue was at the automated booking in, which didnt recognise my Expedia booking number. However that was resolved by the call via the intercom. The breakfast was great which was a surprise as normally the budget hotels have a poor selection - not here! Bed comfortable too so good nights sleep were had."
