"A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."

It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Although no parking is available outside the front of the cottage, we had no problem parking in the road outside under the bridge as suggested. We enjoyed the walks along the Humber with the path starting right behind the cottage. This is perfect for dog owners like us.We took a trip to Withernsea (about 40mins) where there is a vast expanse of beach to explore (also great for dogs). Also went...

"Booked due to proximity to Barbican (5 min walk). Rates were very favourable. Room 2 was a decent size, well presented and very quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Everything worked. Only minor observation was the minimal flow from the shower - it works well enough, just don't expect a deluge. Friendly staff and managed to get parked round the back. Lines are a little on the narrow side so passengers might need to decamp before you squeeze into the space. York was lovely though. Would definitely consider staying here again."
