"Fabulous views from this mountain side resort. Beautiful rooms & linens. Great breakfast. Professional, kind capable staff. Relaxing spa. Lovely infinity pool. Loads of steps!!! Short buggy ride provided to & from town! Excellent location for the best of both worlds."

"The Crowne Plaza is in a great location in Vientiane. The staff are really friendly and check-in was quick and easy. The area around the Crowne Plaza is really walkable and there’s a lot nearby, such as a minimart, Starbucks, a beer garden with live music, restaurants, etc.. The room was really large and spacious. I liked that it was modern and clean looking. Breakfast daily was huge with lots of options. It was honestly a bit overwhelming with the choice. When I was checking out, I needed transport to the train station. The hotel staff gave me the option which between the hotel car and a local taxi. They were transparent with the cost difference. I was happy for the option and they helped me book a local taxi. Book this hotel, you won’t be disappointed."

Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane by IHG

"I checked in late, but the staff were really friendly and got me to my room quickly. Sai was very helpful. Overall, the hotel was clean and modern, especially the public areas. I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom as there was hair all on the floor. Everything else seemed fine. I ordered room service, which was quick and delicious. Even the breakfast the following morning was really varied and tasty. I would recommend Holiday Inn for a brief stay."

My Dream Boutique Resort

"This was a great stay in Luang Prabang! Our room was very pretty and tranquil, although the WiFi didn’t work very well through the concrete walls. Rooms were dated but well-accommodated, cleaned every day, and they stayed cool throughout the day due to clever building design. Bonus points for the bathroom shower gel smelling nice :) The staff was great and accommodated from the start with a nice welcome drink. The breakfast was delicious - healthy, flavorful, and a little bit different every day. Be aware that the Expedia website says breakfast goes until 10:30 every morning, but it really closes at 10:00. The location was quiet - it was a 25 minute walk into the Historic District, but we were able to fix 2 bikes of theirs so the brakes worked and we used the shuttle once on our 4-night stay. Shuttles come every hour until 9:30 PM. We also rented motorbikes from the hotel one day, which made a trip out of town very easy. This hotel is located pretty close to the airport, but you don’t really hear planes! We also appreciated the free airport shuttle. We would stay here again- it was beautiful and quiet. Next time I might choose to spend a night or two in town as well."

Mybanlao Hotel

"Mybanlao was a wonderful find in Luang Prabang. After booking, they contacted me to let me know that I would get included transfers to and from the train station as I booked a minimum of two nights. What a nice surprise. Once I arrived, I was blown away by the service and the friendliness of everyone I came into contact with. My room was very clean, spacious and up-to-date. The pool was so wonderful. The only negative is that there are not enough chairs around the pool. The golf cart buggy is a nice touch to transfer guests around the city as it was available most of the day at no additional charge. Breakfast had a variety of options and I was gifted a little box of cakes upon checkout. I didn’t want to leave."
