"I think the hotel is probably fine for the money but, like many others have said, the parking charges are outrageous. The first thing you become aware of when you arrive is menacing notices strewn all over the place threatening action against you if you don't pay. It's such an unpleasant and unwelcome thing to be faced with before you've even set foot in the hotel, that it colours your entire impression of the place and says something rather nasty about who runs it. If the management had any nous they'd get rid of it and fold the cost into the room charge. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so 99% of customers have to drive and the idea that it should cost £10 per night in such a location is mean-spirited. It's really all I can remember about my stay and any other recollections I might have aren't worth mentioning because it would dilute the strength of feeling I have about this one element."

"Check in was smooth - when entering our room, we noticed there had only been 2 towels left out for a room of 4. The shower was out dated and patches of black mould in places. There was dust round the edges of the room and the sink had water in it from the previous clean or guest? There was one pillow for each guest, when most people sleep with two. The worst part was the air conditioning… we woke up around 5 to a dripping noise - the air conditioning was leaking, the floor was sodden. When we mentioned it to the front desk - they said “yes we have that a lot as it is old” Oh and yes it has a “gym” but don’t get too excited…there are 3 machines in a tiny room - no weights either. Other than all of that, it was okay. Breakfast was good, just a shame about the room."

"The location is excellent, close to the centre of Cambridge and an easy walk to all the main sights. We enjoyed our stay, the staff were all very helpful but you could tell everything was a bit new, the staffing levels and stock levels let them down on a couple of occasions so service was occasionally very slow, and they ran out of some food items (pastries, flatbread etc) seemingly quite early. I’m sure these are teething problems and I look forward to coming back once the service is a bit more mature…"
