"Apartment is better than the pictures. Located in village center, very convenient. Very functional living room & kitchen - super important when you are in such a little village in winter, as all restaurants were closed by 8pm. You need to cook! Well equipped. Only thing missing, to my view, is a dish washer. It would be so much nicer if we did not have to wash everything by hands. "The hotel is set in a rural area although it’s on a main route through the area. There is a beautiful tranquil lake at the rear of the hotel where you can have a quiet, easy peaceful walk and spot the abundant fish and admire the various tall trees. There are small beaches too. The hotel rooms were really good with new fixtures and fittings. I couldn’t fault the rooms. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Similarly the food and service were great. Despite having a bus full of tourists to feed, the staff seemed to manage the service efficiently. I think this hotel would be an excellent location as a base for exploring this outstanding region. For motorcyclists keen to park their machines in a safe area, the staff offered me the chance to park directly at the hotel entrance which was partially shrouded in decorative tall plants and within view of the night staff. I thank the hotel for making this kind, unrequested offer. It’s clear the hotel is prepared to go just that little bit further. In summary, I shall return to this hotel."

"Tres chouette gîte situé dans un paysage magnifique. Gîte isolé très calme ou seule la nature nous entoure. La vue depuis le gîte est juste magnifique. Le gîte est spacieux et confortable. Tout le nécessaire pour passer un chouette séjour s'y trouve. Nous y avons vraiment passé une merveilleuse semaine. Et le propriétaire est très sympas et disponible et de bons conseils."

"Lovely cottage, everything we needed was available. A small garden for our use, trees provided shade but plenty of sun there too. Dog friendly.Location was lovely and quiet. 3 minute drive to Argentat, a lovely market town. Our host / owner was very pleasant and helpful, despite us having to use Google translate!!We have booked again for next year."
