"Needed a little get-away not too far from home. This little cottage is perfect in so many ways. It's in a quiet, private neighborhood. Parking is convenient with circular drive. Don't skip the history of the area and home in the welcome notebook. We fell in love with the Crab Orchard Stone on the house. "We really enjoyed our stay. When we arrived we found that the cleaning crew had accidentally left the freezer ajar and the ice from the ice maker melted all over the floor and under the stove. We immediately contacted the hosts and they drove all the way over to clean it up, apologize, and make sure the rest of our stay went smoothly. They were super nice and responsive. "This property is so interesting. I true 1800-1900s house with all kinds of antiques and books from the period. While the rooms were kept as close to the period decoratively, the owners did enough upgrading so that tenants could have the necessary modern luxuries of air conditioning, bathrooms, kitchen appliances, etc. The property was also just off a main road, yet felt private and secluded. The adjacent property had yaks, chickens, and donkeys although they weren’t bothersome at night."
