For stunning seascapes, head to Praia da Marinha (4km), considered to be one of the loveliest beaches in Europe. Further afield, the picturesque fishing village of Ferragudo (11km) is a must see for its colourful cobbled backstreets, as is the old Moorish capital of Silves (15km), steeped in history, standing proud within its impressive red sand stone castle.
