Very comfortable hotel with beautiful manicured grounds. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast buffet was superb. Only problem was a lack of local restaurants in easy walking distance, encouraging visitors to visit the resort restaurants which were mediocre and expensive.

Lovely small boutique hotel. Close to town and a balcony overlooking town and ocean. Baskets of food brought to you for breakfast we ate on the balcony. Walk to the beautiful 7 hanging valleys trail. Just perfect!

Went in off season which was perfect 70 degree weather and super quiet. Unbelievable for the low price !!! Great for a family

this is the 5th time that we stayed at Vilalara...this says something. We come here for the fantastic Thalasso spa and its great staff (multi lingual and so friendly), the most beautiful settings, the most unique gardens, the six pools, the direct access to their wonderful beach and also the location (easy to to reach). Nice property. Great rooms. Beautiful view, if you get a beach/water view room. We had reserved a non-water view. Asked for upgrade at check in. Got the upgrade but had to pay more money, thought that was a perk with Expedia VIP, but wasn't. Nice bar area with good views and decent food. The upscale restaurant was good, but pricy. No restaurants next to hotels for food options. 15 Min walk or very short drive is the local village was is very tourist oriented and has lots of restaurants.

We stayed a quick 3 days and had a blast. Everyone was super friendly and inviting, breakfast was awesome, quick walk to the beach and a number of great restaurants, plus we were super excited for one of the better small hotel gyms we've been in - if your hotel has barbells and weights over 20kg, they're doing something right :) We'll certainly be recommending Lagos Atlantic to others and will hopefully be back in the future for more than just a few days!

Listen, they are not going to be around a lot. No one at the desk when you arrive and not throughout the night. Its more a bed and breakfast. Front door is loud, you hear it when you sleep and other guests come and go. Those are the draw backs The staff, Anna especially is lovely. They did their best with redoing the place and conveniently located. Is it the best experience ever? No. But clean safe and close to beach and good breakfast

This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Portugal. Placid Village was located in a quiet area, but only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and beaches in town. Going back to the hotel was an uphill walk, but not too bad if you are in decent shape. In the evening we did Uber back. Did not cost much at all to Uber. We had a wonderful stay at White Shell Beach Villas in the Algarve! It was the perfect place for our family, especially with our 2.5 year old, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our room was spotless, and having a washing machine in the unit was incredibly helpful during our eight day stay, especially with daily trips to the beach and pool. Breakfast had such a great variety and everything was delicious! The set up of the b&b were great and it was a very clean location. Staff was wonderful and extremely nice and accommodating. The only thing is that the room did get quite humid/moist, but if you keep the window opens it helps. We would absolutely stay there again!

This property is right on the 7 hanging trails hike. Not a bad walk to downtown Carvoeiro. The staff are very helpful in recommendations for restaurants and activities. Would highly recommend.

The building has a lot of charm. Plants, flowers and classic Portuguese interior design. It feels you are in a farmhouse, not in a hotel. The breakfast was great with so many options. The attic room where we stayed was so spacious, with a huge bathroom and a private terrace. I'd point out that they gave us combined twin beds and not a queen/king bad, which wasn't ideal. This hotel was wonderful !! The property is gorgeous and the beach is stunning! The hotel is very well kept, super clean, and well organized. The restaurants are great. Breakfast buffet was great options and quality and dinner options were amazing. Cocktails are the best! Properly made not just syrup. The pools were clean and actually heated. My kids loved playing. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

The room was very clean and well equipped. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely. Staff were more than helpful and did their utmost to ensure a comfortable stay. Can't say enough good things about the entire experience.
