The Shady Pine @ Barren River Lake, KY~ Hot tub, Mammoth Cave, Luxury Cabin

"We absolutely loved The Shady Pine at Barren River Lake, with one caveat: we arrived after dark, and I don't recommend that. My GPS provided street names and our directions were based on the route numbers and cell service was very spotty. Melissa was great - we called and told her where we were and she was able to verify that our GPS was correct - thankfully! Shady Pines is fully stocked with everything you could want. The weather was very hot so we rented a boat and spent a day on the lake (great swimming!) and went to Mammoth Cave twice which is amazing - and cool. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodations and had a great time!"

"Yet another wonderful stay at this lovely cabin! This is our go-to place when we are in the Gallatin area. It's so peaceful, and the owner Sue is a delight to correspond with. I love sitting on the front porch, drinking coffee and watching the wildlife early in the morning. This is the perfect retreat from the busy world!"
