"First impression , just beautifully done . Lovely grounds . Tje staff - porters, dining staff - wonderful, courteous and helpful .
Disappointed, my room was not properly cleaned . Noted in the shower all corners dirty with hair , debris . Also a few cobwebs . Tje black walls had soap and other residues . Did politely point out the issue and requested a good clean up . It was not done .
Biggest problem - the staff is not trained in handling if any medical issues arose . Not knowing what to do , they get fearful and just avoid handling it . This is an administration issue . I think if the staff is trained well they would follow better .
Also , one would expect someone to be in charge and be at the reception area at night - not a soul present . Not acceptable .
It’s a shame that I had to write this because the hotel of this stature and being quite expensive should not have any of the above issues . It’s the owner who is and should be responsible ."
