St Margaret's Church, Laceby There has been a church at Laceby since 1172 and part of the tower dates from around this time. The building was restored and added to by James Fowler in the 19th century. John Whitgift, rector at St Margaret's from 1572 to 1577 became Dean of Lincoln Cathedral and Archbishop of Canterbury and is commemorated in stained glass windows in the vestry and chancel.

"A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."

Yes the room I had was maybe a bit tired, the hotel is ongoing refurbishing as we speak. The room was clean, functional and was more than adequate. Great location. Can't recommend highly enough. I look forward to returning in January. "
