Didn’t really feel like a spa hotel. Yes they have hot baths, but most people from the uk won’t want to go in naked. We used the bath on the balcony which was nice. Apparently there are massage chairs in the spa area.

Unique and beautiful hotel with very attentive staff and excellent restaurant attached as well. Would highly recommend- a highlight of our trip

Rakuten STAY TERRACE Hakone Kowakudani
Loved the room, great for families and kitchen well equipped. The onsen and sauna were a great addition to the stay. Would recommend that you bring food supplies as only one place near the station to get food.
