"Very friendly and accommodating hosts. They prepared us an amazing 4 course meal for dinner and a beautiful breakfast. We played games after dinner and they helped with suggestions about what to do in the area. "

"Very thoughtful and helpful staff, always offering us heat packs/ umbrella when we leave in the morning.
Onsen is small but has both indoor and outdoor areas, good vanity supplies and hair dryer.
Location is excellent if you drive and want to be based near the Hoshino resort area. Plenty of things to explore within 20min drive from hotel."

"Location of its facility is surrounded by magnificent and beautiful mountains with lots of green, atmosphere is totally different from big city Tokyo. The owner of pension is quite friendly, and capable to treat guest with "omotenashi" from his long experience. "

"The hotel is well located at lake front, although our room was on the lower floor and the view was a bit blocked by the fence outside the windows. The staff were extremely helpful and the one served us could speak English. The food was good. The private bath (fee required) inside the public bath has half glass walls so not so private except exclusive use of the facility .Given the price we paid included a free tour of the shrines, we considered it's value for money."

"Beautiful hotel lobby and very friendly staff. Location can be a challenge to get to if the roads are snowy. 4WD / snow tire or chains a must in winter. "

"The hotel is in a very convenient location, only a few minutes from the station, with a Lawson store right next to it and a supermarket nearby. The room is spotlessly clean and spacious. All the staff are nice and accommodating. They also provide a shuttle service to the station and to the Prince Ski Resort, which is very helpful.
Our only comment is that we wish they could improve their breakfast service with better food options and presentation. Overall, it’s good value for money. We had a great stay and will definitely stay again."
"What a beautiful hotel with nice location near the forests! Amazing staff which are always so friendly and helpful! While the Onsen are a great endind for each day! "
"Staff was excellent in making sure we had a comfortable room. Provided all the helpful details about the amenities and services. Always smiling and willing to help. "
"Great location. Right next to the Karuizawa station, outlet and snowfields.
Shuttle scheduled to come every 15-30 minutes to take you around the resort, outlet and other snow fields.
Staying at resort also gives you discounted rates with the ski lifts and gear rental.
Spacious room.
Great for families."
