"During my two-week trip through Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, and Arima, I had only planned to spend one night in Kobe. That one night brought me to Hotel Okura. My plan was simple: try some famous Kobe beef and see Kobe Port Tower. Once I arrived at the hotel, I ended up doing much more than expected. I visited the Emerald Bar and had a great time thanks to the drinks and the wonderful staff. I was also able to reserve a sushi dinner at the hotel’s Japanese restaurant on the same night. Since I had heard that Kobe is well known for seafood, I made a last-minute switch from beef to sushi. The omakase dinner was unforgettable and left me wishing I had booked at least one or two more nights, both to enjoy the hotel even more and to explore the city of Kobe properly."
