Holy Cross church, Kirkby Green, Lincs. A simple nave & chancel of 1848 replacing the medieval church, the east window is apparently an accurate reproduction of the original 13th century one.
Railway footpath crossing and poultry farm near Kirkby Green The footpath crossing is not quite where it appears on the 1:50000 map; the marked location is correct, and as can be seen, the footpath uses the railway to cross the stream at the same time.
Railway near Kirkby Green Class 153383 about to cross the B1191. I photographed these units at Crewe, Exeter, Par and Bristol during 1988-1991, when they ran as Class 155 two-car sets. They were built by Leyland from 1987-1988 and modified to have a cab at both ends by Hunslet-Barclay from 1991-1992. The 'new' ends were smaller than the original ends and became known as 'small cabs' and 'large cabs', respectively. This unit is heading to Lincoln 'small cab' first. Units are numbered in the range 153301-335 and 153351-385 - 70 in total. Units can be coupled together and run in multiple, if necessary and even with other classes of unit.
