Top Kinsale Hotel Reviews

Actons Hotel

Actons Hotel

8/10 Good
"We treated ourselves to a harbour view room which was nice but it does also look over the car park. We also chose it because we thought it had a private pool for residents - but in reality it is a public pool that hotel residents are allowed to use. Be prepared to share it with children's swimming lessons! The photos on the hotel site look like it is a spa pool just for us. The breakfast is AMAZING and the bed was super comfy."

The Old Dispensary

The Old Dispensary

10/10 Excellent
"This lovely quiet property is a modern renovation of a very old building. The age is obvious on the outside, but inside it is very new, without removing the character entirely. In other words a nice sensitive renovation. It is in the heart of old Kinsale tourist area, very convenient, but the streets are quiet in mid October. I loved our room, it was larger than usual, with kitchen and nice bath facilities. The building sits on the steps of an old Norman gate, a remnant of the old walled city. I would stay again!"

"The hotel is ancient, but in good condition. It's oddly laid out, with lots of stairs, and a lift that goes to most of the rooms. Reception is up a long flight of stairs. The restaurant serves tasty food in a fairly small space. Beds are comfortable. There is on-street parking, free after 6 pm. The staff are pleasant and helpful."
