"The room was plain, clean and dated but that’s ok, communal areas are dated. Shower needed some attention beyond cleaning. Staff were friendly and cheerful the maintenance person was amazing so kind. He was a credit to the place. Helped us find our way initially as we were seriously lost. The signage is a bit lacking in how to get places. He then brought us a new fridge as one in room was broken. Such a lovely person who I imagine does not get a lot of credit. The restaurant staff were lovely...

"We had an absolutely amazing one night stay here! The accommodation is amazing and such a homey feeling. The room was a great size and came with everything we needed. Was a nice surprise to have a cheese platter and crackers on arrival! Breakfast was great, truely couldn’t fault our stay. The hosts were so lovely and helpful, would highly recommend to stay here and will definitely come back!"

"Staff were wicked upon checking in and leaving. The location was very good only thing that really let our stay down - was the bed, it was like sleeping on the floor so very hard. We came up for the Taupo marathon and got no sleep due to it! :( breakfast was ok, good for the price. Bathrooms had had a recent makeover which was nice and the room was clean. Overall well priced just if you have a bad back or can’t handle a hard bed I would stay somewhere else"
