"The property is currently up for sale, and will be turned into flats by the new owner. So it's not worth a full review, but the host Sarah was lovely and the food was good."

"The property was in a fairytale house in a magical location. All the little extra touches - such as bathrobes and slippers. daily complimentary water, chocolate etc - were truly the icing on the cake. The staff showed a real pride in working at the Castle and truly helped to set the atmosphere. Check-in and out were brilliant. The restaurant was superb with a jaw-dropping view of the Castle and sumptuous breakfast. If you think I seem enthusiastic it is because I am!"

"Fabulous characterful farm house with a friendly welcome. Great facilities with guest lounge and easy parking. Very comfortable and spacious bedrooms. Rivals the best breakfast available in the country."

"Only issue was some noise from road but but that did not detract from this being an excellent choice when using Eurotunnel.
Clean hotel, comfy beds, excellent breakfast and owners that are so friendly and accommodating. Would certainly recommend and we will stay here again if in the area"

"The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Really enjoyed my stay. I stay in many hotels every year for work and if all the hotels I stay in were like this one it would make my travelling for work much more enjoyable."

"Had a 2 day stopover while working in Folkestone - a well located guest house with good parking, friendly staff and a very good breakfast. Couldn't get the wifi to work but for a such a short stay I wasn't too fussed. If ever in the area again then would be very happy to return."

"We had a 'cozy' room, meaning tiny, but it was nicely furnished with a TV and nice bathroom with a strong shower. The receptionist staff was friendly and helpful, pointing out the happy hour at the bar. 2 for 1 deal plus a cheese plate. The hotel is centrally located with parking behind ( parking in Canterbury is expensive). Very close to the town center and restaurants. Decent breakfast choices. The 14th century building successfully marries old and modern."
"I would love to give this hotel a 10/10 but regretably the cleanliness I experienced during my stay really let it down.
I felt I wanted to give my room a good scrub...surfaces very dusty and dirty (coasters provided to stop stains would help) Decorative cushions on bed were stained and needed replacing. Bathroom was clean but there was no ventillation. Window was sealed up so it smelt very unpleasant upon arrival and most of the 4 nights I stayed. Decor generally was tierd and needed updating/improving.
The landing and stairs also needed attention... carpet very worn and not vacuumed during my five day stay. Banisters were dirty.
On a positive note, the room size was great with a lovely view. Bed very comfy and some nice touches with lamps and a coffee table and armchairs.
Staff were brilliant...very friendly and nothing too much trouble.
Breakfast great. Fresh and plentiful.
Improve on the cleaning and updating and this hotel would be fab."
"I really enjoyed my stay at the Ashford International Hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the facilities were excellent. The hotel was very clean throughout, which made the stay even more comfortable. I especially loved relaxing in the foyer — it created such a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely stay there again.!"
