"After being stuck in traffic that took 4 hours to cross the Tejon Pass, getting to the hotel was a very much needed "get out from behind the steering wheel". After a few minutes to catch my breath and stretch my legs, I was off across the parking lot to the Steakhouse. Although a nice drink would have relaxed me, I decided the family friendly portion of the restaurant was the call. After taking an iced tea down in one shot, it was immediately refilled and my order taken. The amazing waitress soon brought the wedge salad I ordered and it was properly adorned with bleu cheese and bacon. Next the rib eye and garlic mashed; nothing I say could have made it any tastier. Ultimately I was there to catch some camera shots of the Milky Way and the Perseid metero shower. The RV park section provided ample dark sky area and I was able to capture what I set out for. The bed felt amazing which was a good thing because the after dinner nap and then three hours of sleep after deep sky pictures was the end of a quick turn around stay.
