"When we booked our family ensuite room it was to be a double bed & sofa bed. When I went to check in the girl on the reception said that the sofa bed was only suitable for a child & gave us a free upgrade to adjoining rooms which was a double & twin room both with ensuites."
"The hotel is located in between the station and Castle. All of the main tourist sights were within walking distance, apart from the National Wallace Memorial. The breakfast was plentiful, including a freshly cooked Scottish breakfast. The staff were very professional and helpful . The bedroom and bathroom were large and comfortably furnished. The hotel is close to many restaurants and cafes."
"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for visiting the Castle as it is only a short walk away. Parking is onsite but there is a charge. WiFi is free.
The choice at breakfast is good and the rooms are comfortable."

Friendly staff and dinner and breakfast was good.
Plenty of parking available.
Negatives for me were the elevator being out of action and although it just 2 floors I found it difficult to get upstairs with my suitcase.
Also outdoor furniture and area was a little tired.
These details wouldn’t stop me from staying again."
"Room very clean ,parking easy and safe, breakfast very good, staff pleasant my only criticism is the serious nature of timings eg breakfast at 8:30 start which seems late if you are staying for work purposes and also we arrived for breakfast at 8:25 and the door was locked until 8:30 😀 while sitting having a drink in the bar was told last orders 9:30 1 couple only checked in at 9:25. I would have thought the bar would stay open later ?"
"Lovely grounds and views, beautifully landscaped and kept well. Staff really helpful. Located on the university campus which is unusual but a lovely hidden gem."
