"It’s raining and storming in Dunmore East so we decided to duck into Strand Inn for shelter. When we saw the fresh fish specials of the day, we decided to stay for dinner, too. We fell in love with the staff and decided we needed to stay the night!! It was the perfect decision. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning before we headed on our way. Highly recommended!!!"

"We stayed in the cabin in the back which was…. Absolutely adorable and as pictured. I would highly recommend to communicate with the host ahead of time, because while the contact phone number is listed at multiple points on the property, it can be difficult for a traveler without phone service. I was traveling from another country and had data only, I was fortunate to have a local person lend me their phone so I could check in that first evening. That is my only advice for anyone wanting to stay...

"Booked two rooms for myself and family. First thing I noticed on arrival was how warm and inviting it looked. Next was the lovely welcome we received on checking in. We had two rooms adjacent to each other which were spacious, clean and very comfortable. We went for dinner and were greeted by the fantastic staff. Nothing was too much and service top notch. "We loved Waterford and the hotel. We almost couldn't fly home from Dublin and we were going to try to go back to Waterford and stay at Dooleys Hotel for as long as we were grounded! Unfortunately, we were able to fly out. Highly recommend!!"
