"Food was lovely and staff are great but the hotel, pool and spa are tired and have seen better days. The bedroom door didn’t lock when leaving, the bedroom furniture and throws are worn. Everywhere was freezing until we asked for the air con to be turned down. The music in the bar was way too loud and very depressing and again it was freezing. The lockers in pool changing room didn’t lock/close and the spa area needs maintenance. A bit disappointing after what we paid!"
"This is a superb hotel I really enjoyed my stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved that they served the hot breakfast to your table and the food both dinner in the bar and breakfast In the restaurant were piping hot and delicious. Bedroom was spacious. Warm and comfortable. I totally recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again. "
"We were lucky to get early check in, the process was smooth and friendly. Our room was excellent, large and clean, it all felt new and good quality. The bed was so cosy!!! Gorgeous duvet and comfy mattress! The bathroom is large and clean with a walk in shower.
Our room was to the back of the pub in a separate building, so no noise disturbance, it was very quiet at night.
Cunningham's bar is a lovely old fashioned type pub, plenty of seating, delicious food and a good atmosphere. All the staff wre friendly and helpful. It was busy on a Saturday night with live music.
There are parking spaces but they were full, so we had to park up on a wide path with a kerb - not ideal, bumped the underside of the car coming off it. However it was free and on-street parking is not. "
"The staff were so friendly and kind. The room was beautifully decorated, I slept like a log! Thanks so much. I will definitely be back. Every member of staff went over and above for us! "
"Room clean and cleaned everyday, tea / coffee topped up and filtered water provided. Staff were brilliant, chatty and helpful. Breakfast was good on the days I had it, and food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced."
