Exactly as advertised

I would stay here again. The location and view are perfect. The unit is dated and needs some work, but was safe, clean, and functional. You will need to get your own coffee, coffee filters, shampoo and shower soap.

Very nice for small family

Property was across the street from Kamaole 1 Beach, and an easy walk. Big plus for being equipped with beach chairs, umbrella, and snorkel and boogie stuff.

Close to beach

Listing is accurate, lovely sunset views from the small deck. We could also see whales breaching from the deck. Great location, can easily walk to a number of restaurants/food trucks.

Great Stay

This property was just right for us. Very clean, comfortable. Had pretty much everything we needed for our stay. It has a small(ish) pool. One of three in the complex. It was never crowded. But who needs a pool when a beautiful beach is a very short walk away? The unit has a nice view of the ocean, we enjoyed nearly every sunset sitting outside on the deck. Our unit was in the 3rd door, and there is an elevator. Parking was not a problem. We would definitely stay there again .

Vary nice place with an AWESOME view

We enjoyed our stay greatly and decided when we come back we're going to try and book this exact property. Was perfect for two ladies having a 3 day stay. We didn't cook but did use the washer and dryer using the soap provided. Used the sink to wash cups and such. The plates and bowls were abundant.

Great location, condo could be deep cleaned.

The location of this condo was great, across from beach and had a fantastic selection of beach equipment. Beautiful view from the balcony. Bed was comfortable and condo had most things you would need. The condo was not very clean, the curtains were nastily dirty. The shower would leak depending on how the shower curtain was angled.

Amazing View

We come to Maui every February. The view was amazing but the condo could use some tender, loving care. The drapes are torn, the clock needs new batteries, the cooling system is challenging and there were no beach towels to be found. Still, if it had been available we would have rented it again next year just for the view. The other issues were minor.

Disappointed with only partial refund due to COVID

We have stayed at this property several times and very much enjoy the condo and the close location to the beach and amenities. Our trip was cut short by two weeks due to COVID. We were very disappointed that the owner did not provide a full refund. We spoke with VRBO who advised that owners were supposed to provide full refunds. Our family members who booked other units all received full refunds. For this reason will not book with this owner again or return to this condo in the future.

Needs some work in condo

We had stayed at 2 other resorts in Maui and this one was our last 2 weeks. We were disappointed in a shower that leaked on the floor so I was cleaning up after every shower. They put a curtain rod in inside the glass wall that made the shower 4 inches narrower and you had to be careful when getting in or out and still had some water so washing extra towels every day. Plus the water was not hot in the shower. And I menitoned the people below our condo smoking pot which smelled so we coundn't enjoy the porch much.... sorry Feel like this one was not a a good place to have a vacation. Felt we paid to much especailly conpaired to the others we stayed at.

Detailed unit condition & would visit again 4/5

Communication was outstanding. Checkin was easy with door code. Quiet no road or area noise. Hall to unit very poor lighting reducing secure feeling. Unit was clean w/slightly worn condition, kitchen cabinet doors need tightening/adjusting/refreshing. Glasses/dishes/silverware was like a garage sale find nothing matched. Bathroom lighting weak (easy fix change CFL's to LED bulbs) but clean just be sure to bring your own toiletries plus a extra roll of TP. Shower has 3/4 glass wall so shower floods floor no matter how hard you try to avoid. A/C unit blows directly into comfortable couch side so just kept cycling (easy fix was to move couch 3' from wall to blow towards bedroom) after that unit stayed cool. Towels another garage sale find and well worn. Bed was comfortable and sheets newer. Carpet was clean and in great condition, marble floors very 1990. Beach stuff great surprise chairs/umbrella/mat/etc. Final words, for the price point (it's not a Westin) we will stay again and would be great with the above small updates.

Excellent Value!

Just returned from a wonderful Maui holiday! This unit at the Maui Vista delivered on most of our checkpoints. Worth noting that unit is exactly as advertised. We had a good ocean view, watched many sunsets, and we enjoyed watching the passersby from the third floor lanai. The unit had a good vibe, with quality furnishings, including Hawaiian themed sofa, tables and chairs. There are many tasteful updates all through the unit - from bathroom tiling, to kitchen counters, etc. Also has a full size fridge and laundry in the unit, and very effective air con, though we barely used it due to the usual breezes. A bonus was the free calling back home to Canada and a strong wi-fi signal. We enjoyed using the supplied beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels. It is located in an enjoyable walking area, with Charley Young Beach across the street. The building, being concrete, was very quiet, with little noise from adjoining units. Owner was very responsive, quickly responding to emails or phone calls. Only negative for us was street noise from South Kihei Road, though not as noticeable from the bedroom located at the back side of the unit, so it didn't interfere with sleeping. Lastly, as we visited during summer rates, this was a great value - impossible to beat!

Best affordable hidden gem on Maui

Wow- Hidden gem. It is perfect, my husband and I really settled in here for the 10 days of our trip and loved it. The bed is extremely comfortable and it is cool enough in the bedroom- we stayed in May! We slept very well! It’s not extremely modern but at this price point, how could you expect that? It is beautiful. This place is in a perfect location- the balcony is charming, the high top is wonderful, chairs are comfortable and the view-Wow! We loved getting fresh poke from foodland and enjoying the view on the balcony! You can walk to foodland! And Kihei caffe and the open air markets- it’s all a 5-10 min walk, perfect!!! Also there is everything possible to use during your stay- beach towels, awesome Tommy Bahama beach chairs that you wear like backpacks, sand buckets, boogie boards, coolers! You usually pay a rental fee for these things at a hotel! When you walk out of your room, there’s a staircase right across from it that leads right out across Maui Vista to the cross walk! Also elevators. Room’s in a perfect location! Not to mention the washer and the dryer were convenient, we didn’t have to pack as much! Everything was so clean with plenty of sheets and towels! There is also tons of closet space! When you walk in the door, the bedroom is on your right, the bathroom is in front of the door and to the left is the lanai, living room and kitchen. Check in was easy- called security after hours. Check out is expected by cleaning people to be on the dot. We love this place

Beautiful view, Old mattress, Great view

I love staying in condos in the Hawaiian Islands and have done so for years. This was the first time I was not really satisfied with the condo. The bed had two layers of foam on it, to make it more firm, but it caused me to slowly fall out of bed during the first night. After removing one of the form pads, my sister I slept better, but had to reassemble it the last morning. Most condos have left over condiments like ketchup and mustard and even butter. Often, it is sauces left from previous guests. This place had salt and pepper, steak seasoning and that was about it. Whatever I left, was removed by the cleaning staff. However, the kitchen was very clean. The exhaust vent in the bathroom was filled with dust and there was mold on the floor from the shower. The shower has just a half glass door and the shower head shoots out onto the bathroom floor, I think that is why it was moldy. Really liked using the boogie board and the beach chairs and umbrella!! Great views from the Lanai (patio) and easy walking to the store or a coffee shop from our location. The beach is directly across from our place, so it was easy access. The location was easy to find and the code for the door ensured that we never got locked out. Very nice owner and he said he will address the mattress issue with the management company, so it may be already replaced!

Relaxing and easy

My husband and I hope to find ourselves renting this so comfortable condo again! We loved staying here. We were comfortable! And such a gorgeous view of the ocean from the living room! We had a very nice time either at C. Young beach or spending time reading and soaking at a pool in the complex. We made our own simple meals but breakfasted at the nearby fabulous Kehei Cafe. We chose not to rent a car in Kehei, so we walked to Foodland and packed our stuff back to the condo . We took the stairs mostly over riding the elevator. Call us crazy but we got over and above the daily exercise we had been missing while teaching school during the past school year. We are 75 and 68 years old. Our stay in Kehei allowed us to be youthful for a couple of weeks and relish healthful living in paradise. Just what the doctor ordered!!!!
