"Staff were so welcoming and helpful, really made the stay. Excellent location and whilst some aspects in the corridor to my were a little tired the room itself was clean and very comfortable. The food was good and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I spoke to several returning guests. I'll definitely be back."

"The room was lovely and clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. The WiFi throughout was good enough to stream tv and the restaurant was great. We had dinner and breakfast and couldn’t fault either. If we are back in the area we would define stay again."

"The owner made us very welcome on arriving. It was lovely to stay in a well maintained old property (16th century) with great character, with a welcoming open fire in the general sitting / dining area. The bedroom window provided some lovely views of the fells. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Eggs were provided by the free roaming hens in the garden."
