"We enjoyed our stay at the American Inn, Lake City, Minnesota. It has a great location, wonderful breakfasts - plus the indoor pool and the cleanliness of the property was a plus. The staff was great and helpful to us in every way. We will definitely choose American in Lake City, Minnesota again!"

"Richard was the kindest innkeeper. He allowed me to stay in my room past checkout and drove me to the bus stop so I wouldn't have to walk my luggage in 92° heat. He was very thorough in his tour and very accommodating. Unfortunately, the window AC wasn't sufficient for the massive heat wave in most of the house, but I was staying in the basement apartment which was pleasantly cool. Breakfast was delicious, but be sure to inform them of any food allergies in advance!"
