"Budget hotel, and I would stay again. My experience was thus: Pros: Cheap (cheapest room around) Quiet (no one bothered me) Cold (the air conditioning worked great; stayed cool in very hot summer days) Location (walking distance to a Target, a sporting goods store, a steakhouse etc. It's not a sketchy area) Downtown Keene is just 5 minutes away. There are rotaries which you will likely have to drive through to get back and forth. The hotel price may attract ill-reputes, but everyone i saw...

"The continental breakfast was good - a variety of fresh baked goods, yogurts, fresh fruits, granola, teas, and the coffee was excellent! It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. Parking was no problem - plenty of space, well-lit, felt absloutely...

"The check-in was fine, though hard to understand the person behind the counter. There was a door open at the end of the first floor hallway that led outside. this was Saturday and it was open all day. We said something about it and the guy said something to the effect of, it might be a worker. Nobody was working on the place Saturday afternoon, we checked. "Amazing property and hosts...If you are looking for a quiet getaway with a river view and gourmet breakfast, look no further!"

"Well-maintained facility by the hard-working family that runs the Putney Inn. Rooms were clean and quiet. They accommodated a very late check-in without complaint. Great value for money. Only reason it's not a 4 star is that there is some normal wear and tear on the property. But overall I highly recommend it."
