Our room was large and updated. We did have a challenge figuring out all of the electronics to get the lights on and shades closed."

"Very much a vintage hotel experience. I had an excellent mountain view, which I was able to enjoy from bed every morning. The cleaning crew were efficient and very good. The staff was very helpful with planning alternative hikes. I chose to walk the 800m from the train station, which for me was very doable. However, I am very fit and this may not be an option for everyone. The breakfast buffet was very good. I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Nico's, which was excellent. It was my best dining experience in Kandersteg and during my stay in Switzerland. The spa was small, but clean and very relaxing. I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely re-visit if I come back to Switzerland. "

"Perfect lodge style hotel in one of the most idylic towns. Very convenient parking in the basement for 12 CHF per day. Good breakfast available. Right in the center of the village - so very convenient to walk around. "
