The view from halfway up the stairs to the cave temple in the countryside around Kampot. Don't just get out here for the temple though. The scenery in this area is stunning.
From Kampot you can do a half day tour to Bokor's ghost town. The town isn't that spectacular, but the views are well worth it.
The salt fields near Kampot are a scenic place to visit on your way to Kep or the pepper plantations.

Kampong Trach is roughly a 2 hour drive south from the hustle and bustle capital city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Once I you cross into Kampot Province the landscape is inspiring and your mood changes quickly. You’ll be driving through mostly rice fields with (depending on season) the lushest of green with backdrop of hills dramatically jets out from the earth in all randomness. One can’t help but want to stop to explore these unique hills. There are also caves to explore and during the rainy season you can even swim in the caves! #Nature #Cambodia #Kampot
