"The location was perfect for our needs. Quiet and comfortable at night when we needed it to be, The food was OK and room service being available 24 hrs helped when we arrived in the early morning. The reason I rate our stay 4 stars is because across the board there were issues of cleanliness, functioning of the room phone, speed of room service, housekeeping and noise control. I would stay here again so the inconveniences were not enough to dissuade us. We stayed at the Serena location in the city previously and that was impeccable so our bar might be influenced by that."

"I had a wonderful stay at Athena Hotel in Kampala. The room was exceptionally spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It truly has the charm and quality of a boutique hotel. What stood out the most was the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and always attentive to the smallest details, making me feel genuinely valued as a guest. The breakfast was another highlight, offering an excellent variety of fresh and delicious options, with great attention to presentation and service. Having stayed at two different hotels in Kampala, I can confidently say that Athena Hotel was by far the better experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kampala, whether for business or leisure."
