"We really enjoyed the location. The view of the ocean right out of our window was beautiful. You could hear the waves all the time. We even had a beautiful rainbow over the ocean out our sliding glass window the morning we left. Loved the private beach access, pool/spa area and cabanas that didn't need reserving. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The bathrooms were also clean. It was only a 5 minute drive into the main part of Lahaina. We do recommend getting a rental car since it is a bit off the beaten path. The A/C was a lifesaver from the humidity. The mattress could use replacing, but was still comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay."

"The pool is lovely in the evenings. We bbq ’d our pineapple. The room we had was awesome with myself having the private room of the suite. Close to beaches and overall very nice. Would stay here again."

"We love Papakea and have stayed many times, but this particular unit, F101, was not up to the standards of other units. While ocean front is nice, the inside needs a serious update. There are cracked tiles on the bathroom floor and the furniture in the living room is scratched up and not comfortable to sit on. The A/C unit is not strong enough to push air into the bedroom which was the hottest part of the unit. There are no extras in the unit, like beach chairs or boogie boards which other units have. The curtains in the living room look very dingy in appearance and they did not match the ones on the sliding glass door. Everything else about this resort is perfect."
