Tented lodge accommodation wonderful, but it did get extremely cold at 3 degrees during the night, so minimally ask for an extra blanket depending on the weather forecast. "It's in a great location in Mariental, making it the ideal stopover if you're coming from Windhoek and then continuing south. Equipped with every comfort, the restaurant dinner and breakfast are excellent. Extraordinary location. Superb cleanliness, even the pool deserves a mention. Highly recommended."

"Loved our 2 night stay in the Dune 2 chalet! Room was well appointed with an excellent view of a waterhole and the Khalahari desert - saw wildlife out the window everyday. Enjoyed the Night and Combo Game Drives with our outstanding guide, Gabriel - very knowledgeable and engaging with guests. Saw rhinos, giraffe, kudu, Hartebeest, eland, springbok, steenbok, maribou stork, oryx, zebra, and more. Outdoor dining area is set up as a Boma and nicely lit - dinners were very good!"
"We were there in February (Namibian summer) so it was hot in the tent during the day, and the huge water-filled cooling thingy (don't know what it's called) didn't help at all, if anything it made the tent hotter not to mention the noise it made. We decided to just open the windows and through in the warm breeze. It was better once the sun had gone down. Otherwise it was a great stay. Staff were nice and friendly and we enjoyed the sundowner game drive."
