"Initial view of the hotel was beautiful when we arrived. We were not greeted by the bellmen or helped with baggage. As a black women, that was very disheartening & disappointing, as i finish getting my baggage i watch both men help other cars that pulled up after us. We were not greeted upon walking up to the check in desk. We were stared at as if they were waiting for us to greet them. (This happened multiple times throughout the trip) We were not told anything about the resort whatsoever. I had to ask another guest where the pool was.At check in We were told there was someone on property to book excursions with or a show that is all. Pool is on the smaller side along with the hot tub, with the amount of guest there the hot tub was only empty early in the morning. but there was ample seating. Overall for the price I was expecting better service. The room was spotless, Housekeeping was VERY attentive and honestly the nicest person I came across in the hotel during my stay. If you stay on the 12th floor as I did you will get great service! Hotel location was ideal! Right in the middle of everything. Very safe area , abc store, target , and a bus stop right outside the hotel! Which made getting to and from HNL very easy. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again but I also wouldn’t deter anyone from staying. I hope this review is looked over & improvement’s are made. "

"The ocean was visible from our room and we loved the view also from the end of the hallway. The outrigger was an amazing hotel and the staff were always accesible. The restaurant was great and the only problem was the pool was crowded. Still very good service and lovely hotel."
