"Check in instructions did not let us know until we contact the property manager that we had to collect the keys 2-5pm the day of arrival . The property was really lovely and everything we hoped it would be, from excellent location to the size and facilities. However, because we had to collect keys in town and then enjoyed an afternoon walk around the town and marina; it was gone 5pm by the time we got to the property. In the two toilets we searched for toilet roll and there was a pile of empty rolls on a window sill and one roll that had approximately 3 sheets attached if that. Not acceptable basic level of provision for a 3 night stay for 2 people.Handwashing soap between two bathrooms was 3 squirts of watered down liquid in total. Some items of crockery such as coffee mugs had to be cleaned prior to use because they had unknown debris inside. We went to use the washing machine over the weekend and found a pair of brown trousers inside belonging to a previous visitor that had been there so long that mould was covering the entire thing. Really unpleasant.Unfortunately whilst we did message the property manager, they were closed until the day of our departure and responded via email as we got home. To be fair, they were apologetic and told us the property owners had stayed the week before us and cleaned. Both had missed the issues we had been left with and it was too late to rectify. It absolutely did impact our trip ."
"Great property, we appreciated being able to bring our dogs. It had everything we needed for an overnight night stay. Only hiccup was we did not receive the check in key code! Cute place! Very reminiscent of grandma’s house by the beach! Would stay again."
"Lovely clean chalet, fantastic location only a few steps to the beach. We stayed in the whale chalet which is right at the front. Plenty of parking, washing facilities and clothesline at the back. Dishwasher, oven, stove, kettle, toaster, air con and ceiling fans. Pretty much everything you need. Our only quibble was that there was no hand towels, had bath towels cloths and tea towels but nothing to dry your hands on after toilet. Also the pillows could do with replacing they are very thin and horrible and noticed the actual pillows had suggested replacement date of 2023 written on them. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and still recommend 👍"
"There was wear and tear on the unit which can easily be rectified. Not being able to use the oven due to not being able to read the dials because the writing had worn away. The BBQ not getting hot enough to cook on and needing to transfer the food and cook it on the stove top. Not realising that there was only fans in the room, not air-conditioning and 2 fans did not work. When I rang the agent they knew about them but had not had them fixed before our arrival. They did get an electrician out for 9am the next day but i feel it should have been rectified before our arrival. It was a very hot and humid night without anything. The vacuum cleaner was not working very well. The premises was tidy and the inside space very good. Location was in a nice, quiet area. The showers were very good. "
