"The internet was broken, no elevetor - no airconditioning and the bugs - flies and wasps flew into the room. Had to have the windows open because it was so hot. Nice older couple ( I'm 74 myself) but in way over their heads. Really too bad. I booked another hotel through expedia and move - a good hotel the Mercure."

There was no reception to speak of and this made it difficult to organise anything like taxis etc to get around. "Pension Pushkin offers cheap accommodation in Berlin. Now I've gone through all the good points, let me give some tips and tricks... Tip one, the room is extremely hot with no fan or aircon, sleeping with the window open does offer some relief but the road noise is excessive only to be drowned out by the train noise. "Very friendly staff, clean and large room, great location next to train station and the surrounding area was clean and safe. The only thing we didn't like was they charge to store your bags (we've visited 9 hotels in 6 countries on this trip and they're the only one who charged). They offered us to take the early check in fee instead, which came with a room upgrade, but I didn't like having to pay extra for a service others offered for free."
