"Our check in went well and the young woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, there was a VERY strong marijuana smell and it was enough that it wafted into one of our rooms and filled the elevator. The beige couches within the suites have some definite wear and instead of replacing them, they covered the seat cushions with black covers. It’s a nice effort but the couches likely need to be replaced soon. Breakfast had a nice variety and was well stocked. Overall, our room was clean-ish, breakfast was good and the front desk was helpful. We will likely return next year on our annual trek north to Michigan."
"My husband and I were at the Hilton Garden Inn two nights. We found it to be a really lovely property--clean, everythng in good repair, excellent bed, spacious room with everything we needed or wanted and a wonderful staff, all of whom were cheerful and eager to help at every moment. There were a few extra amenities which were a nice touch, among them fruit-infused water and warm cookies in the lobby in the afternoon and coffee in the lobby in the morning. They even have small cafe that cooks food to order along with a bar, open til 10:00. The cafe has a small menu--mostly pub food type items--but it is certainly convenient.
One caveat--this hotel offers a beautiful, enticing breakfast buffet--better by far than most mid-range hotels--but it is not free. So this is not the place to grab a bite upon leaving, and expect it to be covered by your room price.
We loved "coming home at night" to this lovely place and would stay here again, if ever in the area."
"I didn’t like that there were a bunch of drunk guys on the patio I had to walk through to check in. Especially since it was after 10pm and they were loud. I also didn’t like that there was a dog eating scrambled eggs at the table next to us for breakfast."
