"The inn is steeped in history and in a remote, quiet spot. Unfortunately our room had been left with unsightly water marks as a result of a leaking roof (which has been fixed) all over the ceiling, especially above the bed, and wall. It made the room look very shabby and for the price not great value. The floating floor feels like it’s a sinking floor in some spots and you need to tread lightly. The bathroom is modern and spacious. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly."

"Owl Barn was just beautiful - we loved the fact that the sheep wandered past the garden fence and the horses came close to be petted ! The view from the window was amazing and the Barn had everything we could possibly need - we would definitely recommend it and would be very happy to go back again "

"Lovely ‘simple self-catering’ in the heart of Dartmoor. Great set of appliances to have a nice coffee and brekky in bed! Coffee and non-dairy milk included - thank you Terry :) we really enjoyed our stay and had a super sleep. The hot tub looked inviting but the weather was just a bit too miserable for us to venture out there. Next time!"

"Parking was easy and safe. Location of the property was perfect both for accessing Dartmoor and wildlife spotting (lots of unusual birds in the grounds). Staying at Two Bridges was a treat; it is a unique hotel and has an amazing history"

"The problem with this hotel are the rooms. They are clean, but our double was quite small, and the bathroom, again clean, was small, and a strange shape that included a bath and toilet on a raised step. The breakfast was excellent. Overall this hotel represents very poor value.."

"Beautiful position at base of Haytor Rocks. Parking easy and plenty of room inside and outside no matter what the weather. Staff great. Would recommend try and book with breakfast included. Likely to be a better deal. It is a shame the hotel has yet to install an electric charging point. There is one at an adjacent tourist facility but out or order. Other than that great!"

"Eine ganz hervorragende Unterkunft. Das beginnt beim Empfang, es wird einem alles abgenommen, das Gepäck etwa oder das Parken. Das Personal ist zurückhaltend, aber immer präsent und ansprechbar. Für alle Wünsche werden Lösungen gefunden. Das Haus an sich ist wunderschön, mit einer Terrasse, die einen großartigen Blick in Garten und Tal ermöglicht. "Although our stay was fleeting (just one night) we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room.
