"The lack of vending machines is a major problem. I understanding wanting to keep all money in-house, funneled through the store and restaurants. But those things aren't open 24/7, and God forbid you want a Coke or something after they've closed. There's no 24/7 "Quikee-Marts" within walking distance. You're just stuck til morning. As much as they want it to be, this hotel is not a cruise ship. It's a hotel, and hotels have vending machines. That's my only complaint about an otherwise great stay. But it is a very real problem, that's frustratingly easy for them to fix if they just wanted to."

"Very poor breakfast..doesn't compare with Hampton Inn. By a long shot. Breakfast is an important part of a hotel stay. This will be my first and last visit to this chain. Very noisy I heard the person in the unit above walking a good part of the night."

"I have been staying at the Marriot Jacksonville Beach many times during the year for over 10 years. This time was a little different. The front desk was hardly ever staffed, which was an odd change. Also, we were charged $150 for a pet fee although our dog is a service dog?? This has never happened before. I will be back, but hopefully these won't be an issue. Other than that, the remodel is beautiful, the pool and tiki bar were a delight, and the room was clean and comfortable. Hope this review helps."
