"Excellent Glamping Experience with Delicious BBQ!
My wife and I recently stayed at Forest Glamping Kanade no Mori Resorts, and we had a wonderful time. We were a bit concerned about the weather forecast as rain was predicted, but luckily, it cleared up on the day of our stay and we enjoyed perfect conditions.
The highlight of our trip was definitely the BBQ dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, making for a memorable dining experience under the stars. The glamping tents were...

"It was AMAZING! My friend and I stayed for one night and it was the highlight of our entire trip in Japan. The food was incredible, the staff were extremely nice and helpful and attentive. And of course the onsens were immaculate. Everything was top tier, would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a classic Japanese experience but with modern comforts and breathtaking views!!"

"Loved the room, great for families and kitchen well equipped. The onsen and sauna were a great addition to the stay.
Would recommend that you bring food supplies as only one place near the station to get food."
"The staff here was very inflexible. Too many rules that aren’t communicated ahead of time. We expected to be able to have dinner at the hotel and were told they couldn’t accommodate us. Do not plan to arrive before 3pm as your room won’t be ready and you can not use any of the facilities. We were forced to wander the little town in the pouring rain. It was a lot to get out to this resort for one day. We would skip it next time and go straight to Kyoto "
"Location was great for exploring Gora. Approx halfway between gora station and open air museum. 5min walk. Breakfast was pretty good, mostly eastern - only a few western options. Dinner was really great for included meal. Mostly eastern options. Recommend using cable car to get up hill and then walk down the hill again. Only issues were the room was warm and couldnt lower air con below 22 and beds were very hard."
"loved the place, so much history & really does everything to preserve that. We had he forest wing corner room, which was great. Superb breakfast. Wished we’d stayed longer. "
"Location: perfect for ropeway and pirate ship cruise. 2 min walk away.
Rooms: amazing lake view
Staff: went above and beyond for every little request
Hotel: gorgeous lobby, foot bath outside lobby overlooking the lake. Easy to book private onsens which were impeccably kept and really nice for a family gathering
Food: the staff went above and beyond, helping fix a very quick vegetarian dinner for the vegetarians in my family. The spread was amazing and huge. Same for breakfast.
Rooms: very clean and very comfortable.
Highly recommended stay - wish we stayed longer here!"
