The place was good and staff was helpful and supportive. Hotel is 5 minutes away from taksim meydan, where you can find all the transportation facilities.Overalls the place is great and i will book again in this place in my future trip.

Best hotel in Taksim

Good hotel with great receptionists, especially Eyyup who always willingly offered help everytime I wanted to explore the city or when i wanted to order food. My room had a terasse with a nice view of the neighbourhood.

This was not an expensive hotel so not luxurious. However my en suite room was clean, the white sheets and towels were freshly laundered . The air conditioning worked fine, there was a safe, a fridge and a hairdryer. Had to run the hot water for a while but when it came through it was hot. The lift worked. Taxim Square was a short walk. A bit rough round the edges but good value for money. If I was in Istanbul again I would be happy to return.

The bed was uncomfortable, the cleanliness wasn’t the best, the elevator was vibrating like a plane with turbulence so it did feel a little unsafe. Staff service was average - limited interaction though. Check in was super quick and easy. Overall I was expecting a bit more compared to other hotels in Instabul and in this area.

Excellent Stay

I'd definitely recommend Retropera Hotel. I really enjoyed my stay there. My room had everything one would need - kettle, hair dryer, tea/coffee, etc. The bathroom had complimentary shampoo and soap, which was also a very nice touch. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is less than a 5 minute walk to Taksim Square. I will stay here again when I visit İstanbul in the future.

Place,staff were good, friendly. Room was good and clean. No Big lubby, not place for family with kids. Small place, but close to Isteklal CD, Taksim Meydan,shopping place, coffee shop,... Ayup was kind and professional person at reception.
