The hotel is very old and urgently needs renovation, especially when it comes to mold cleaning. The bathroom was in terrible condition and had a significant amount of mold, which made the stay uncomfortable. The only positive aspect was the friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, due to the poor room conditions, we did not complete our full stay and decided to move to another hotel.

The staff at this property was amazing and the location was perfect. The only thing we didn’t like is the elevators turn off at night. The day we had to check out we had an early morning flight and had to take 8 heavy suitcases down 4 flights of stairs. The staff was able to help some but it was still difficult going down the stairs with all our things.

Great place for a family

Really nice. Difficult to find at first, as reception is behind the main entrance. Great little apartment. 3 double bedrooms, kitchen area, dining table and a sofa a tele, and bathroom. Beds were firm, which is good. Location was great. Right next to Galata Tower, with one of the rooms being able to see it, well, the top of it. Just off main street, so was quiet, but only 50 metres from being in the hustle. Only negative was the bathroom door. It was a sliding one, but the handle wasn’t big enough to open it when it got stuck, which wasn’t a great 5 minutes.

The address on Expedia was incorrect, so we had a very hard time getting to the hotel with our bags. The staff were very nice, but tend to leave the desk phone off which is unfortunate if you're trying to find the hotel. The room was not as large as I was expecting, the sink was slow to drain and the heat took a very long time to get the room comfortable the first evening - it did not feel like a 4 star room. That said, it was affordable and easy to get to the tunel and metro, it was quiet at night and had plenty of hot water. Galata tower is almost immediately next to it, so it's easy to spot "home" from anywhere in the city once you know where it is.

A great stay near Galata

We enjoyed our stay at the Meroddi Pera Flats. It was nice to have a little more space with a seating area and kitchen for the same price as many other hotel rooms we looked at. The staff was helpful and the location of the hotel was very convenient for touring Istanbul thanks to easy access to the Galata neighborhood on foot and to public transportation to get to other parts of the city. The only issue that we had was that the toilet wasn't working properly, however, when we contacted the desk, they were quick to do whatever they could to resolve the issue (and they did get it resolved). If the bedroom could have been a little bit bigger in order to provide more space to walk around the bed, that would be nice, but we were very pleased with our stay and the room. The only other thing that would be helpful would be having clearer directions to find the reception desk for check-in as it is on a different street than the entrance to the flats.

This was my first experience in aparthotel. They had all the appliances they said they would. However they had nohandsoap at the kitchen sink, no paper towels, I had to buy cleaning supplies as the kitchen was not very clean. I washed splattered food off walls etc. To have a washer was wonderful, it was a combo washer and dryer. I had to buy detergent and fabric softener. The dryer didn’t work well at all. I was going to use the balcony area but they never could find the key , so I never got to use it. I finally went to the terrace too and hung my clothes up there to dry. The shower had mold in it and the sewer smell from the drain was not pleasant. They need to pour bleach down there regularly. It was a quiet area , close to several stores , restaurants etc. Very close to Galata tower.

The property condition is excellent. Its also in good and central area. Just 2-3 mins walk to Galata Tower, 3-4 mins walk to the popular Istiktal Street and Metro/Tram stations. Lots of eateries and shopping options nearby. Its also cheap and value for money for a family of 5 like us.

The hotel is so old. Our window was broken at the first day we opened it. The shower room door was not working, the water in the hotel sometimes on sometimes off. Even if water comes it was difficult to take a shower because the water was so slow. The elevator is so tiny, just 3 people can fit on it, and you need to go 1 floor up to get to the elevator. The staff was nice and helpful but the hotel is so old and everything is about to broke. It was the most uncomfortable stay in the hotel in my experience.

Very noisy (terrible soundproofing), cold air blowing strongly from the windows, mold in the bathroom. Scratches and scuffs on furniture and walls. In the evening, water flowed from the ceiling onto the bed: the hotel staff offered only an additional room for 1 person (we traveled five together), refused to compensate for the cost even for 1 night. The only positive thing about this hotel is its convenient location.

Nos encantó este hotel y sin duda nos hubiéramos quedado todas nuestras noches aquí si lo hubiéramos sabido desde el inicio. Estuvimos en dos estancias distintas durante nuestro viaje a Estambul: primero en este hotel, ubicado en el lado moderno de la ciudad, cerca de la Torre Galata, y luego en un Airbnb del lado antiguo, cerca de las mezquitas principales. Elegimos dividir la estancia porque pensábamos que sería complicado trasladarnos entre ambos lados, pero nos sorprendió lo fácil y rápido que es moverse en transporte público (tranvía, incluso caminando). Nuestro viaje fue en familia con niños. De haberlo sabido antes, nos habríamos quedado todas las noches en este hotel. La zona es muy agradable, segura, con muchas opciones para comer, y el hotel en sí fue mucho más bonito, cómodo y a mejor precio que el alojamiento del lado antiguo. ¡Lo recomendamos completamente como base para explorar toda la ciudad!

O apartamento familiar que reservamos não estava disponível, na primeira noite ficamos em dos hoteis da rede (Bagdaliyan) excelente, nas outras noites ficamos em um apartamento familiar ao lado Bagdaliyan, muito barulho de veículos, buzinas, pessoas gritando pela rua, havia também a inconveniência de que nem todas as janelas possuíam cortinas, deixando o ambiente claro.
