We thought there must be something wrong with this place - it looked fantastic online but it was cheap and we were able to book it quite late. It really was as great as it looked, but only a couple of rooms were booked the night we stayed - in peak season. Why isn't there more demand for this sort of place? The owner's family had owned it for centuries but he was struggling to keep it in business.
