Prince of Wales

"The Prince of Wales has bus-stops immediately outside the building and it is located opposite the entrance to Osborne House. Our breakfasts were generous in terms of portions and any extra requirements arrived swiftly. Our room was very good value and it was very quiet. Two minor issues with fixtures were resolved quickly and cheerfully. We did not have a car during this visit, but the bus journey from the East Cowes dock took only a few minutes on the local bus service. Great value , great location, and helpful staff."

"Tastefully decorated. The owners were great and the answer was always yes. Not keen on the tiny stairs up to room 5 and good job I’m short with the low ceilings. Lovely breakfast"

"This hotel is very clean throughout. The housekeeping team amazing, the room looked immaculate upon return each day. The staff are all very friendly. The food is very good and presented well. The only criticism is the evening menu choice is very limited and static"

"Very friendly and efficient checkin. Spacious clean room with very comfortable bed. No AC but fan provided in room due to warm weather. Very good cooked breakfast made to order, Excellent dinner in fine dining restraurant."

"the hotel is nicely placed near to Sandown Town centre and the beach. The hotel is large and is set in lovely grounds. Things that could be improved: - there was woodlice in our room, would be nice if these were eradicated - there is no footpath from the front of the hotel to the pavement outside the hotel. It means you have to walk along the access road to the hotel. Not nice with kids. - the breakfast is until 9am but by 845am was looking very tired. Would be good to have it properly refilled until 9am. - apart from the pool table there is nothing for children to do, this hotel is very much aimed at the retired short-break community. Overall the hotel was ok and served its purpose plus has red squirrels outside!"
