Almare was wonderful! We’ve been to Isla multiple times and this was by far our favorite stay! We booked our trip last minute, but nothing was missed here! From the check-in, the service, amazing food, beautiful room, pool and the private beach, and the private water taxi to the airport! Everything was better than we could’ve imagined. I would recommend Almare to anyone looking for a relaxing, secluded and beautiful stay on isla!

We got an ocean view room but could barely see the ocean so not great. The food was good at the restaurants but they all closed pretty early. We were really disappointed with the rooftop pool, bar and restaurant because they didn’t open until 6:00 in the evening! It was an infinity pool with a beautiful view of the ocean but who wants to spend the day up there if the restaurant and bar aren’t open? This hotel barely got 4 stars from me.

Cristina the hostess was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. She is a real gem! Very clean hotel. Breakfast buffet had a variety of fresh fruit and natural yogurt, along with smoked salmon etc. Other breakfast items could be ordered from the menu. We had an incredible stay at Almare in Isla Mujeres, made truly special by both the setting and the team. The beach is beautiful, calm and peaceful – it feels private and far from the crowds, the perfect place to completely switch off. A special thank you to Rodrigo, the manager, who made us feel like royalty from the moment we arrived. As a fellow Portuguese, his warmth and personal touch made a real difference. Claudia and Karen were fantastic by the pool – always smiling, attentive without being intrusive, and somehow always appearing at the perfect moment with margaritas or ice cream. Breakfast was a daily highlight thanks to Cristina, whose energy is contagious. We loved starting our mornings with her and even getting to practice some Spanish. A very special mention to Braolio – spectacular from start to finish. The dinner at the pier was unforgettable, made even more special by the story of the pirate Fermín and La Trigueña, and the incredible local cocktail he prepared. Diego also went above and beyond, organising two bespoke dinners and sharing thoughtful local recommendations throughout our stay. To everyone else behind the scenes – thank you. Your care and attention made this one of the best stays we’ve ever had. We left feeling spoiled and already planning our return.

Pros: The staff were very friendly. The rooms and grounds were clean. Cons: Food was average at best, but not much of a variety. We did not have reservations one night, so we decided to try to walk in one of the restaurants. We were told we would have an hour and half wait, but there was only 8 people in the restaurant. The pool bar closes at 5;30, and the pool closes at 8. I saw no activities the 5 days we were there. Overall the experience was decent, but not great. I definitely don’t feel it was worth the money we spent.

Amazing time for our honeymoon. Staff was over the top. Karen, Claudia, and Edgar, to name a few were awesome…as well as ALL the staff. Everyone knew you by name and went above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. Being all inclusive we were hesitant on how it would be. We could not believe the 5 star quality food and drinks we were served. Definitely coming back! Thank you for everything! Adam & Jamie

Took a while for our room to be ready. We didn't get our room till almost two hours after check out and only after complaining. We noticed others having the same issue. We were not given a tour or an explanation of amenities. The hotel was very clean and beautiful. Staff was good beside a couple lack luster interactions. Food was great but after dinner you were left still hungry due to minimal portions and lack of sides with certain dinner options. Overall my stay was good. Would come back again in the future knowing now what to expect. Both my wife and I did get sick during and after our stay.
