"The house was very nice and in a great location for us. We came to do some hiking and the home was in a quiet neighborhood and located near the trailheads. We were able to walk to several restaurants in the evening which was quite nice. The home was clean and comfortable. "

"Peaceful and beautiful, and so much wildlife! Deer visited every day and a raccoon peered into the living room window one evening. In less than an hour on the deck, we saw pileated woodpecker, eastern bluebird, red-bellied woodpecker, white-breasted nuthatch, dark-eyed junco, carolina wren, and blue jay, and heard barred owl, red-shouldered hawk, cardinal, carolina chickadee, downy woodpecker, white-throated sparrow, and tufted titmouse.The house is organized, clean, and decorated with taste. Its location is perfect for exploring nearby Elephant Rocks State Park and Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park, both of which we loved."

"The home is a cute, historical home that is spacious and well kept. It’s walking distance to food, coffee, and in-town historical sights. It was a short drive to Johnson’s Shut Ins and Elephant Rocks - and eating at Baylee Jo’s BBQ is a MUST! The games included in the family room made for some fun family bonding time.It was a great stay with plenty of room in the home for a large family, or a group of friends, for a quick getaway from the city. We have absolutely no complaints! The host was very responsive, and friendly. Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

"The cabin is nice and secluded, but also close to the heart of Ironton and Sheppard mountain. The inside furniture, decor, and cookware are new and modern. The deck and backyard/fire pit area is spacious and well lit. The cabin provided fire wood. I enjoyed my stay and hiking in the area with my dogs. "

"Cozy!! Loved the deck, loft bedroom, kitchen had everything we needed, bathroom was roomy, fire pit area was great, very clean and so cutely decorated. Host responded promptly with any questions we had. Great place to unwind and be still and star gaze. Close to 3 great state parks we visited. And a Casey's close by for any last minute needs! So peaceful. Pet friendly too. Highly Recommend!"

"Our stay at The Olde Homestead made our fall trip to Acadia Valley perfect. It was ideally located to state parks and towns. The rooms were well furnished with everything that we needed. It was super clean and everything was in great shape. The bed and couches were comfortable and the kitchen and dining room served us well. The outside setting was nicely landscaped. Thanks to our hosts who communicated with lots of information. We would book again when we visit that area next time. "
