"The staff treated me so well. Working with me even with a language barrier. After a few weeks of the Tokyo and Osaka life, that place was a slice of heaven, my only regret was not staying longer. The baths were nice, the place was super clean. Transportation to get there is a bit difficult, but that I think is what makes this place attractive, since it's in such a nice, quiet part of Japan. Going there during the Sakura season was amazing too. "

"This is a hidden gem that I literally stumbled upon. This area is famous for agriculture so the food was sourced locally and amazing. The staff is international so even if you don't speak much Japanese you will be fine. It is peaceful and fun to walk around the area. "Fantastic. Wonderful resort property overlooking a bay. Peaceful, serene and scenic. The hotel will pick you up at the Toba train station and drop you off. For our purposes, it worked better when we rented a car for 24 hours so we could explore the Ise-Shima National Park and go do an Ama Hut about 30 minutes away. Pick ups and drop offs arranged ahead of time with the front desk. The best part of the hotel was the Onsen. When we were there, it wasn't crowded at all and the outdoor Onsen overlooks the bay. Large hot baths and a small cold plunge that wasn't too cold. It was just right for a quick cooling plunge. A couple of outdoor chairs to sit and dry off. The only thing to plan for is there is not a konbini close by so a car would come in handy. For late dinners, the train station is a 15 minute walk away. We found a sushi kaiten open til 10pm right by the station. Highly recommend staying here if you're coming to Toba"

"The most hospitable staff, especially the Japanese front desk staff! The rooms are well maintained, although I am not a fan of the strange, bouncy "tatami" floors (and the small dead roach in the bathroom area was a bit shocking). I love the drinks lounge with the gachagacha capsule machines. The meals were amazing and fun!"

"We decided to come even if we don’t have a dog, but this was not a problem. Of course, you have to like dogs, because most people come with their dogs. But everyone is very respectful. The staff is always helpful and adorable. The bedroom was wide, clean and the view on the ocean is beautiful. The dinner & the breakfast were delicious, a mix of fish, meat, veggies… We stayed 2 nights and we were positively surprised that they made an effort to serve us a few different dishes for our second dinner and breakfast. Onsen is small but very nice and comfortable. Perfect after a long day around in Toba or the islands around. We loved our stay very much! Thank you!"

"Staff was helpful, especially patient with my language barrier. The room was clean except for behind the tv console. The building is pretty old but in good repair. Not close to stores or restaurants, but is close to the beach visible from the balcony outside my room. They have arcade games for children and ping pong for older ones. Very comfortable, large room with both western and Japanese options for sleeping."

"Staff: very friendly. They are very responsive to my questions. I managed to ask for pick up service just several hours before my arrival. They are able to entertain my request. At the property, staff is very friendly. I feel at home. Location: the onsen hotel is near utsumi station. There is a free pick up service from the station. A wonderful sea view from the room. Can walk along the coast anytime. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. But we chose to dine in at the hotel. Cleanliness and size : clean and spacious. The hotel probably spends a lot of money on the maintenance. The hotel looks very grand but at the same time looks very ‘japanese’. I have been to many onsen hotels and I would say this one is the best at this reasonable price! Highly recommended if you go to Nagoya "
