"I loved the character of the hotel! There is so much history and it is nice to know that the current owners are trying their best to maintain the hotel's quirkiness. The owner is a workhorse and is happy to share information about the hotel's history and places to visit in the area. The hotel has some themed rooms, but I stayed in a regular room, which was clean and very spacious. It would be fun to experience one of the themed rooms. Be sure to check out the plane in the front. The pool and hot tub are great! There is a nice hot breakfast every day. The hotel is close to The House on the Rock and Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin in Spring Green. Nearby is Cave on the Mounds. If you eat in Dodgeville, check out Bob's Bitchin' BBQ downtown. The Mexican restaurant was also recommended to me, but I did not have a chance to eat there. If I am in the area again, I would definitely stay at the Don Q Inn!"

"We had a great time at this hotel. It was me and my 3 kids under 10. We used the waterpark multiple times. It was great, but could have been cleaner. Nothing very dirty- you can just tell it's a well used amenity. The breakfast in the attached restaurant was awesome. Housekeeping came and gave us fresh towels and took our trash each day which is always appreciated. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful. If we ever find ourselves in Madison, we would stay again!"
