We loved our stay here, everything you could possibly think of was provided. Family friendly, pet friendly! Plenty of space for a large group. Thank you!
The property was easy to find, had everything perfectly labeled and had every type of kitchen appliance you would need. Had a great grill for cookouts plus a fire pit for s’mores. Very easy boat access, and a perfect location. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing place to fish, boat and get away from it all
Great house right on the lake!! Wonderful views. The house had everything we needed and was super comfortable! We highly recommend this home for a vacation stay.
Sincerely,
Matt & Diane C.
We had a wonderful stay at this lakefront home! Private lake views with plenty of room for our dogs and a large fenced area for them as well! The house was enormous and had plenty of space for multiple families! This would make a great place for a large family gatherings or family reunion!
This lake front house was the perfect family getaway. The house had plenty of space for our big group and was well stocked with house hold items. We really enjoyed the views from the deck, using the fire pit at night and kayaking on the lake. The hosts were very attentive and answered any questions we had promptly. We would definitely stay here again!
We were in town for a family event and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the lake. We grew up in Inverness and have been looking for a great place to stay when we come back to visit. It is one of the prettiest properties on the lake. It is set on a peninsula so we got to watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets. This house exceeded our expectations. The hosts thought of every detail inside and out.
We had a wonderful time at this large and well stocked house, including a boat ride on beautiful Lake Henderson and an evening by the fire pit. The walkway around the yard looks like something you’d find in a state park. Definitely want to stay more than one day next time.
To start with the hosts Mark and Patty have gone above and beyond for their guests. From extra blankets, sheets and towels to a fully stocked kitchen. The boat and jet skis were a big blast for our group. We even caught 3 really large bass right off of the deck.
Our long weekend was worth every penny !!!!
Our large group of friends enjoyed the weekend away immensely . Endless activities, boat rides and nightly fires made the weekend unforgettable. House was equipped with everything anyone needs to have a good time! Thank you for sharing your home with us and going above and beyond to accommodate us and make this mini vacation special.
i’ve rented about 20 houses in the last 10 years, and this was one of the best, and certainly the best equipped. quirky house, very clean, classy antique furniture, and a museum of great paintings by the owner’s father. the large dinner table and kitchen worked great during our stay, and the pool table and darts were fun. the hosts were responsive, and helpful, and obviously wanted to make our stay the best.
This was the perfect home for our family. There were 12 of us. Six adults and 6 children. The kids fished off the dock and had fun kayaking.
We would definitely go back again. Home is very well stocked with games and essentials.
The house was wonderful, spacious, well stocked and the location superb. One small issue was that there were ants in kitchen and bathroom areas so the owner may want to deal with that at some point but wasn’t a big deal really. Having had ants in our house before we just know that it only gets worse.
The rental was a beautiful property on Lake Henderson.
We'd previously lived in Inverness in the 1980's and visited several old friends there on this trip.We rented a boat from the owners Mark and Patty and enjoyed cruising the vast lake chain. The owners were available if needed and very accommodating. The house was very well equipped and we had fun fishing off the dock--actually caught some fish! Would recommend this rental without reservation.
This home was perfect for our retreat, in fact this is our second stay here. The kitchen has everything anyone would need. The rooms are large and comfortable. The views, especially the sunsets are spectacular. Kayaks and canoes and other water vehicles are available and we enjoyed them. There are plenty of gathering spots, in and out. The hosts are very easy to work with. Inverness offers many opportunities for hiking and the town is lovely.
We hope to return - what better recommendation could there be?
The house has tons of space, and the property is beautiful. The kitchen is huge and has everything we needed. We got a lot of use out of the dart board and pool table. Unfortunately it rained a lot while we were there so we didn’t get to use the kayaks and canoe as much as we would have liked. I would definitely rent again!
No joke, this is the best rental I’ve ever had. The owners were very considerate and accommodating.
The property is amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice. The views of the lake are fantastic. We spent a lot of time on the dock fishing and just looking at the wildlife. The game room was great for entertaining my family when it happened to rain. The house is very comfortable and there was no shortage of space for everyone.
The lake house was absolutely perfect for my husband’s 30th birthday weekend with family and friends. Patty and Mark made sure that the entire house was clean, comfortable, accessible, and accommodating. The kayaks were a lot of fun, bathrooms were clean and had plenty of clean towels, and the kitchen was well stocked and labeled (which made it incredibly easy to find the different pots/pans and cooking utensils). The sun room and fenced in area out back were perfect for our two dogs to enjoy as well. We’d love to stay there again in the future. Thank you again, Patty and Mark!
We were 9 women who have been in a book club for many years. We do a 3 day retreat each year. This stay was one of our best. The house was perfect for our get-away. This is THE best stocked house! Everything was supplied! Plenty of rooms for all - large kitchen, beautiful views throughout the house. Lots of water craft available - we want to go back when the weather permits their use. We all agreed that this was a fantastic find. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. We highly recommend.
The property was beautiful. We loved the cypress trees and fenced in yard. The dock was brand new and easy to dock two extra boats. Nice shade. Inside the house was clean although the outside looked like it could use a pressure wash and there were wasps flying around the front door. Lots of space to park truck and trailer and fun water toys. We had enjoyed playing pool and darts in the evening. We didn't love the noisy airboat traffic, but otherwise it was peaceful. Definitely beautiful and fun!
Our objective was to have a small family vacation and visit family in Hernando. This was a perfect spot for that. Groceries were just down the road. We especially loved the fenced in yard for our pre-approved granddoggie. We enjoyed watching the air boats, weed eaters, and rowers go by. The labeled cabinets were a bonus, as were the spices, sugar, and half-n-half. We used their kayaks, and enjoyed Lake Henderson. The best part was seeing family, the second best part was having a place big enough for all of us and welcoming to Cheerio! The rest was gravy! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The pictures do match the house. I went for my 55th bday celebration with 15 friends from ages 25 to 58. I want to tell you that this home put a spell on every one of us! It's retro vibe made us giggle with "classic" portraits and furnishings but there is something special within these walls that spreads across the grounds to the water. We didnt even go out to dinner after our paddleboard excursion at Rainbow Springs (great drive through cute towns there). This was the most peaceful, heart warming home any of us have encountered. All 16 want to come back and are booking their families too, as you dont need to leave. Everything you need is there! Can't wait to come back.
As several others have said in their reviews, the pictures are nice but still don't do this house justice. It is gigantic, with at least four different sitting areas and two very large master suites. The area for pool and darts is perfect and actually allows for real billiards games and not an endless use of the "short stick" because the walls are too close. There are high quality TVs all over the place. The kitchen is extremely well appointed with cabinets and drawers labeled for ease in finding things. And on and on. The house was just outstanding in every way - very clean, great mattresses, hot hot water, good water pressure, towels galore, plenty of coffee on hand, etc.
On top of all that, the location is really great - just steps from the huge lake in the area - and there are plenty of boating-related options available to take full advantage of the water. Also the place has a nice buffer from the neighbors with a good sized yard and fence so you have plenty of privacy.
Finally, the owners were very friendly and responsive in their communications.
All in all a true 5 star experience. Highly recommended.
