The hotel was in a good location, but you definitely need a car to do anything. Independence isn't really an area where you can walk around.

The staff in the dining area were the sweetest. When I first walked in the gentleman at the counter said without any excitement “May I help you?” I did not feel welcomed at that moment :( the laundry room door is kept open the whole day.
